How It's Made

All of the products which we sell are 100% certified compostable. The term compostable means that it's not only intended to be returned to the earth safely, but also provides nutrients once the material has completely broken down. The term “compostable” refers to a material than can break down in under 12 weeks.

The products that we sell are made from a number of different natural materials.

The benefits of using our products are that they are made of renewable, plant based materials such as tree, corn and sugarcane. The production of these products emits less carbon than making most plastics. Many of our products are made from recycled card, paper and bagasse (recycled sugarcane fibre). Any virgin card or paper used comes from a responsible forestry source with a recognised chain of custody.

Our products are of extremely high quality and boast the following certifications;

Certified Food Safe - The market's most comprehensive food migration certification.

Certified Compostable - Our products boast an independent compostability certification and are widely accepted for commercial composting.

Traceable Supply Chain - Our products are fully traceable and are made in quality controlled conditions from sustainably sourced or recycled materials.

The materials used to make our packaging products include;

Bagasse - Bagasse is recycled sugarcane. It is renewable and sustainable. Bagasse is used mainly for hot food containers.

Natureworks PLA (Polylactic Acid) - A plant-based alternative to plastic. Clear PLA is used for cold use and CPLA is used for hot. RCPLA is made from recycled materials.

Sustainable Forest Source - Sustainably sourced paper and card, recycled content is used where possible.

Areca Palm Leaves - Fallen, pressed Areca leaves.
