Green Man compostable cold drink cups are made from PLA (polylactic acid), a bioplastic produced from corn and other natural plant starches.

These biodegradable cups have a smooth finish and are as light and strong as their oil-based counterparts. Made from annually renewable resources they are 100% compostable and generate fewer greenhouse gases during production.

We also stock CE-marked pint and half-pint compostable cups, perfect for glass-free bar environments, outdoor events and festivals. These cups can be printed in up to 4 colours and have excellent branding/sponsorship potential.

Pint & half-pint CE Marked Cold Cups - ideal for bar environments

Ideal for outdoor events, glass-free bar environments and festivals, our CE marked pint and 1/2 pint PLA glasses are the first fully compostable cups in the UK to carry the CE mark.

The CE marking means that unlike ordinary unmarked cups, bartenders do not need to use measured beer pumps and licensed premises can comply with the 2006 Measuring Instruments Directive (MID). It also certifies that the product has met rigorous EU health, safety, and environmental requirements to ensure consumer safety. Endorsed by the Metropolitan Police they are 'smash-proof' and "splinter-proof" so therefore cannot conceivably be used as weapons.

These superb CE marked cups are currently in use at top sporting venues including Twickenham, Edgbaston, The Oval and Silverstone as well as premier UK racecourses such as Cheltenham, Newbury, Newmarket, Newcastle and York.
